Famous Mothers Who Have Famous Daughters
33. Diane Ladd and Laura Dern
Diane Ladd and Laura Dern made history as the first ever mother-daughter duo to win an Oscar nod for the same movie (or even in the same year, for that matter) with their 1991 Depression-era drama “Rambling Rose.”

Dern got her start as a child making appearances alongside her mother in two films: “White Lightning” and “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.” Both blondes have raked in their fair share of accolade over the years, and even have adjacent stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Now that’s one famous family affair.
You’ve definitely heard of the next two stars, but did you know they’re related?
34. Minnie Riperton and Maya Rudolph
Mamma mia! No… mama (of) Maya. SNL funny-woman Maya Rudolph has a knack for comedic timing, but did you know she comes from a line of Hollywood talent? That’s right, the “Bridesmaids” actress is the “mini-me” daughter of soul singing sensation Minnie Riperton.

Famous for her 1975 hit “Lovin’ You” (the one that gets really high), Riperton and husband Richard Rudolph composed the song as a lullaby to their daughter. Minnie sadly passed away in 1979 from breast cancer, but Maya has kept her legendary memory alive and even named her fourth child after her famous mom.
35. Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher
From “Singin’ in the Rain” and “Star Wars,” Debbie Reynolds and daughter Carrie Fisher were one of the most legendary mother-daughter pairs to ever reign over Hollywood. Fisher, who iconically played Princess Leia, said she was in awe of her award-winning mother as a child.

The two endured their fair share of volatility as Fisher shot to fame, but the two later reconciled and forged a bond stronger than ever. The two touchingly and tragically died one day apart from each other in 2017. Still, the two Hollywood veterans will be remembered for light years to come.
36. Ingrid Bergman and Isabella Rossellini
Swedish screen siren Ingrid Bergman starred in several classics such as “Casablanca,” “Murder on the Orient Express” and three Hitchcock flicks. Her daughter Isabella with Italian director Roberto Rossellini also had an extensive career in front of the camera as a model and actress.

Rossellini has heartwarmingly recalled that as a child she “thought my parents were famous because they were parents.” Although that should probably be true, Rossellini’s mom was notably a three-time Oscar winner and one of the greatest screen legends in classic American cinema.
37. Linda McCartney and Stella McCartney
Stella McCartney grew up traveling the world and rubbing shoulders with celebrities long before she became a world-recognized fashion designer. The daughter of photographer Linda McCartney and Beatles great Paul McCartney, Stella now has a renowned name of her own.

Making her way up the ladder of the fashion world, Stella has launched her own eponymous brand and has dedicated various collections to her late mother. Like her famous parents, Stella has lived up star quality name and is also a strident supporter of animal rights advocacy.
38. Patti Hansen, Theodora and Alexandra Richards
Blonde beauties Theodora and Alexandra Richards got model mother Patti Hansen’s fabulous figure and Rolling Stones guitarist father Keith Richards’ rock chic. Like their magazine muse mother, Theodora and Alexandra have taken up modeling careers.

Hansen made a name for herself in the disco decade of the 1970s, and now her doppelganger daughters are following suit. Keeping it in the family, the eye-catching trio put their genetically blessed looks together to pose for a perfume campaign for Guerlain Paris.
39. Meryl Streep and Mamie Gummer
You might not know it by their names, but you can definitely tell by their faces that living Hollywood legend Meryl Streep and actress Mamie Gummer are two peas in a pod. The pair is so startlingly similar that they could almost pass as sisters (seriously, we’re seeing double).

Twenty-time Academy Award nominee Streep apparently passed down her enthusiasm for acting to her second-oldest child. Gummer played Streep’s on-screen daughter in the movie “Ricki and the Flash” and has had credited roles in productions such as “The Good Wife” and “Cake.”
40. Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton
The Clinton family is synonymous with the Washington politic scene. For 37 years, America’s first female presidential candidate has said “I’m with her,” in regard to daughter Chelsea. Born to one of the country’s most powerful political couples, Chelsea has grown up to be a policy advocate herself.

Working with the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative along with raising own two children, the forme First Daughter sure stays busy. Who knows, perhaps she will even make it full circle and one day return to her childhood residence of the White House in a different capacity…
