Yoga Quickies for Busy People
It is a blessing to live a full life. It is a problem to live a life where you feel you have no time to take care of yourself. In order to live the best life, you must make time to refill your well with water. Balance is the key to a happy and fulfilling life. We are here to help you with four fast and powerful courses, so you won’t sacrifice your yoga practice!
We know you are busy, so let’s make a long story short.
Here are three tips to keep your yoga practice on track, no matter what other commitments you have in your life.
1. Schedule your yoga time in your schedule: When you write down your yoga class in your calendar, it is part of your daily plan. If you have time, you don’t need to waste time thinking. You do have time-write it clearly in black and white. Roll up your yoga mat and put it on the cupboard or shelf, which is a reliable way to ensure that you will never take it out again! The effort to take it out may be exactly what your brain needs to say,’ Oh, I don’t have time’, which turns your yoga practice into a bigger mission. Putting your mat where you can see it, or where it has been laid in a quiet place in your house, can help you practice yoga more frequently, which means you can practice it quickly when you have time-waiting for cooking, and if your mat has been laid, it can be laid in a few minutes between TV commercials.
2. Remind yourself how you will feel, even if it is a short promise: you will feel stronger, more flexible, more relaxed and more energetic. Your sleep will deepen and your posture will improve. The spiritual benefits of fast yoga practice are incredible: you can return to your workday with higher attention and clear mind. If you tell yourself that a short yoga practice is enough, you will be more motivated to do it. If you are used to an hour-long yoga class or longer yoga practice, you may think that short-time practice is not worth it. However, even a few minutes of stretching is enough for your body to feel and reap benefits! If you don’t have a whole hour, even half an hour, you can still practice yoga-you won’t feel sad because you are late for the meeting, and you won’t miss your family time because of your dedication to the mat. Every little bit helps, so do what you can, don’t punish yourself, if the time is not very long!
3. The first thing to practice in the morning: give priority to your personal yoga practice and do it first, even before you drink coffee or tea in the morning. If necessary, set the alarm clock 20 minutes earlier than usual. Once your day begins, unexpected things often happen and steal your scheduled yoga time. If you take care of yourself first, you can handle your day better, no matter how busy it is!
Sometimes life will hinder you, and you really don’t have time to do yoga. It doesn’t matter! Things will happen, whether it’s a family emergency, or something at work, or you just want another drink. Even if you don’t have time for asanas, you can use these days to bring the lessons you learned on yoga mats into the outside world.
These include concentrating your breath, practicing mindfulness, and being kind to yourself-that is, don’t blame yourself for missing the practice!
