Yoga To Release Tension In Your Shoulders & Back
Who else spent months lying on the sofa watching TV and hours sitting in front of the computer playing with friends and family? During the isolation period, most of us found ourselves more sedentary than usual. Sitting for a long time has a great influence on our posture. Our shoulders bend forward, our neck becomes stiff, and our posture begins to slide down. Our bodies will not only become uncoordinated, but also become more closed emotionally. Internal reflection and external reflection.
This week, we will focus on relaxing shoulders, throat and neck, and creating more spacious postures in our spine. When we focus on relieving the stress and tension lurking around the neck and shoulders, we can relieve the pain. Focus on upper body exercises to create strength and mobility and encourage correct posture. They also go deep inside and benefit the subtle body where our chakras are located.
Of the seven main chakras located at the bottom or spine of Sushmana, four higher chakras or more conscious seats are located in the upper body. They are Anahata chakra or heart chakra, Vi Shu Da chakra or throat chakra, Ayina chakra or third eye chakra, and Sahara chakra or crown chakra.
Anahata chakra is where love and fear, our main emotions, exist. Opening and strengthening the area around the heart helps us to stay away from fear and open the door to love and all possibilities of life. Our heart is the seat of sympathy, where we surpass ourselves and learn to put the needs of others above our own. Balance between back and arms is a good posture, which can help you breathe more easily and regain the feeling of love.
The Shu Da chakra is located at the bottom of our throat, and is considered as the place where we tell the truth and express our feelings. Cultivating the ability to speak clearly and directly is another advantage of paying attention to the upper body. When you feel pain in your neck or have difficulty communicating, postures like plow, shoulder and fish can help you keep your balance.
The Ajna chakra is often called the “command center”. Your third eye is where intuition and your higher self are located. Taking time to cultivate clarity will help you transcend distractions and reactions in your daily life. Poses like Barasana or children’s postures stimulate the Ayina chakra.
Described as a thousand-petal lotus flower, the seventh chakra above us, Sahara, is our connection with the spirit. Release the tense muscles and mental tension, let us open ourselves and establish personal connection with unconditional love and the universe. Inverted, Savannah, Tadessa and meditation all help you find the karmic relationship with the universe.
This week’s lesson will improve your posture, relieve tension in your neck and shoulders, and create more freedom in your heart, more authenticity in your expression and more clarity in your mind.
